Line & Ham

Inspired by the pattern of a diamond grille security door and the aesthetic of an Old Door Wall commonly found in my hometown – Penang, Malaysia.

Line and Ham is an interactive work, to be walk through and around, investigating the contrast by playing with our perceptual mechanism. From architectures and pieces of furniture from Malaysia and Australia, the work borrows forms and motifs, removes these from their original context and combines them as duplicates, including dissecting elements from the architectural space, to make new sculptural work and environment.
